A 2007 recipient of the Republic of Korea’s National Medal of Honor, Dong Sup Kim became president of the SK Energy Institute of Technology in 2009, after nearly 20 years of research and management experience.  Kim began his career at Shell as an associate research engineer in mechanical engineering.  He then worked as a team leader and global team leader before concluding his tenure at the company as Regional Manager, responsible for overseeing the Engineering Group in Asia.  A Visiting Professor at KAIST, Kim served as an adjunct professor at Ohio State University between 1990 and 2008.  He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems and Welding Engineering from Ohio State University.
